40-Day Challenge
I went to the doctor for my annual physical this morning and received a passing grade but my blood pressure was higher than it has ever been. Armed with that information I decided to challenge myself to 40-days of trail hiking. I am doing this for several reasons, including mental and physical health as well as to get my mind focused and committed to new challenges. The challenge includes a commitment to not let weather, pain, injuries or anything else keep me from the goal of hiking a minimum of 2-hours a day on trail, with pavement and any form of bicycle riding or walking on pavement not counting. OH! did I mention that I will drink no form of alcohol during the challenge. If it weren't already enough of a challenge that is the icing on the cake...... I will be doing most of the challenge hiking at Lake Chickasha simply because it is only a 20-minute drive from my house. Check back to see how I am doing........
