Hiked 2 hours and 34 moving minutes and logged 7.29 miles of trail on a cold windy morning - Started the hike at 10:00am. Shorter hike but a lot more challenging. More like climbing stairs for two hours. Feet did really good today. Even though the Refuge is an hour away from my home, I will be hiking at the Refuge more than Lake Chickasha during the challenge. It is a lot more strenuous than the Lake hike. I hiked the Buffalo Trail today but even though the sign says the trail is 8-miles it is actually closer to 5.5 or 6 miles. So I also hiked the Long Horn Trail. The sign says it is 2-miles and it appears to be about 1.5 miles. These two trails combined for the 7.29 miles I completed today. Saw a bison and several long horn cattle while driving to the trail head. All I saw on the trail was song birds, Dove, Ducks and Geese. What a hike! It was great. AM Temp: 28 (Wind Chill: 18)
PM Temp: 43
